Chetta Srl’s Policy for Quality, Environment, Social Responsibility, and Health and Safety at Work

The Chetta Srl policy for Quality, Environment, Social Responsibility, and Health and Safety at Work is defined by the Management in alignment with company guidelines. It aims to ensure customer requirements and the needs of all interested parties (both internal and external to the company) are met, and to continuously improve performance.

For this reason, the Management has decided to organize the company so that the technical, administrative, and human factors that influence the various aspects are planned, controlled, and monitored by implementing a management system that complies with relevant international standards.

Management believes it is fundamental for company success to pursue the following:

  • Maintaining market leadership.
  • Ensuring product conformity with applicable technical standards and regulations.
  • Guaranteeing the quality of products supplied.
  • Continuously improving the management system.
  • Pursuing customer satisfaction.
  • Organizational improvement and growth of the human resources involved.
  • Condemning all forms of discrimination and unequal treatment (in hiring, salaries, access to training, and career promotions) based on race, nationality, religion, disability, gender, sexual preference, union membership, or political affiliation.
  • Condemning all illegal conduct that may conflict with physical and/or moral dignity or integrity.
  • Seeking awareness from any contractors and suppliers by requiring them to comply with the company’s policy, laws, and commitments regarding quality, environment, ethics, and safety.
  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable national and international legal requirements, with particular attention to health and safety at work, human rights, and environmental protection to prevent pollution and reduce it at the source, where possible, as well as other regulations signed by the company related to the various topics of the integrated management system.
  • Ensuring compliance with all requirements of the reference standards for quality, environment, safety, and ethics.
  • Improving the company climate and personal and professional relationships throughout the organization in terms of employee satisfaction and motivation, including the option for employees to report non-conformities related to social requirements through the methods indicated in the reference procedures.

The achievement of these goals is ensured by the continuous development of a corporate culture oriented toward a collaborative climate and an adequate communication system aimed at performance prevention and improvement. It is an explicit commitment of the Management to provide, at all levels, the necessary means and resources to achieve company objectives.

To this end, Management is committed, in compliance with legal regulations, to:

  • Making company functions responsible for achieving the objectives of this policy.
  • Ensuring a prompt response to service disruptions, complaints, and anomalies in the best and fastest way possible.
  • Initiating and maintaining a process of understanding customer needs and their satisfaction levels, in order to pursue improvement objectives consistent with these needs.
  • Implementing optimal waste management through recycling and opportunities for reuse.
  • Monitoring and improving environmental and energy performance throughout the product/service life cycle.
  • Assessing the significant environmental aspects for the company and adopting the necessary measures to reduce impacts (e.g., reduction of CO2 emissions and the use of alternative energy).
  • Promoting programs, goals, and targets that improve the health and safety of workers.
  • Promoting chemical reduction programs.
  • Guaranteeing the right of workers to a decent salary, starting with the correct, complete, and impartial application of the relevant national collective labor agreements to all employees, by promptly paying the established salary and all related social security, welfare, and insurance
  • contributions.
  • Ensuring the protection of maternity and paternity, as well as disadvantaged people.
  • Guaranteeing the right to strike with job protection.
  • Guaranteeing the freedom of association and the election of their union representatives, where present.
  • Not using child labor.
  • Selecting suppliers who are sensitive to the application of social responsibility standards and rules.
  • Establishing, maintaining, and documenting appropriate written procedures for the evaluation and selection of suppliers, taking into consideration their performance and commitment to meet the requirements of all the integrated management system reference standards. Making a reasonable effort to ensure that the requirements of these standards have been complied with by suppliers within their sphere of control and influence.
  • Promoting programs, goals, and targets that improve the health, safety, and physical and mental well-being of workers, by providing prepared, efficient human resources supported by adequate infrastructure.
  • Ensuring every action aimed at reducing accidents and occupational diseases, promoting every action aimed at improving the work environment and the health and safety of workers.
  • Continuously verifying the adequacy of work equipment and the specific training of personnel.
  • Properly monitoring the health of workers, in order to prevent risks associated with company activities.
  • Ensuring the commitment to the consultation and participation of workers and workers’ representatives.

 

A framework for reviewing compliance with the company policy and the achievement of planned objectives is defined by Management through appropriate indicators for each specific process.

By participating directly in the various company activities, Management will ensure that the system is established, applied, and maintained in accordance with the requirements of the reference legislation. It will be a strong commitment of the Management and employees to seek to pursue the principles outlined above, also in relation to the specific training that the Organization has committed to providing them, starting with the communication of this policy to all levels through distribution to all employees, suppliers, and customers. It is also available to anyone who requests it, including through the website.
